1. Definitions

• "We / Us / Our" refers to Almora Hearth, a registered business in Malaysia.
• "You / User" refers to any person accessing this website or participating in a session.
• "Session" refers to any of our three arrangements: Family Conversation Workshops, Household Document Organisation, or the Family Meeting Facilitation Programme.
• "Household" refers to the unit of participation — the family group booking a session.
• "Agreement" refers to these terms and any booking confirmation we issue.

2. Nature of Our Services

Almora Hearth provides general education, group facilitation, and clerical document organisation. We do not provide:

• Legal advice or legal services
• Counselling, psychotherapy, or mental health support
• Financial planning or financial advice
• Mediation in the legal or formal sense
• Medical advice or health assessments

Nothing produced or said in any session constitutes professional advice of any regulated kind. Participants requiring regulated professional services are referred to appropriate practitioners.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a session, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the capacity to enter this agreement. You confirm that you understand the nature of the services described in Section 2.

4. Booking and Payment

Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Prices are as stated on our website at the time of booking. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is accepted by bank transfer to the account details provided in your booking confirmation.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellations made more than seven days before a session start date are refunded in full. Cancellations made between three and seven days before the start date are refunded at 50%. Cancellations within 48 hours of a session are not refunded. Individual sessions within a programme can be rescheduled with five days' notice at no charge. The facilitation programme can be paused for up to eight weeks without additional charge.

6. Participant Conduct

Participants agree to engage with sessions in good faith. Behaviour that is disruptive, threatening, or abusive to other participants or to our facilitators will result in removal from the session. Fees are not refunded in cases of removal for conduct.

7. Intellectual Property

Session materials — including listening structure cards, written summaries, and document indices — are provided for personal household use. They may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold. This website and its content are the property of Almora Hearth. You may not copy or republish content without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided as described. We do not represent that participation in any session will produce any particular outcome for any household. No statement made by a facilitator in any session constitutes a promise, commitment, or professional opinion.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Almora Hearth's liability for any claim arising from use of our services is limited to the amount paid for the session in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Almora Hearth against claims arising from your misrepresentation of the nature of our services to third parties, or from your breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We encourage informal resolution of any concern — please contact us before initiating formal proceedings.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
