What We Offer
Three sessions. One table.
Each arrangement is described in full below — what it includes, what it does not, how it runs, and what it costs. Take your time reading. No one will follow up unless you ask.
Back to HomeHow We Work
A consistent approach across all three sessions
Every Almora Hearth arrangement begins with a boundaries panel — a short, plain statement of what the session is not. This appears on this page, in our printed materials, and at the start of each session. We find that families engage more freely when the edges of a service are clear from the beginning.
All sessions are led by trained group facilitators who do not hold regulated professional licences. When a participant raises a matter that belongs with a lawyer, doctor, social worker, or financial adviser, the session pauses and we provide a written referral list. We do not continue on that topic until the participant has had the opportunity to seek qualified support.
Session One
Family Conversation Workshops
What this is not: This is not counselling, mediation, legal advice, or any form of regulated professional service. Facilitators do not assess or advise on personal situations.
A four-evening group workshop on how families talk to one another when something difficult needs deciding — a household move, an ageing parent's living arrangements, how to share a school run. Sessions cover listening structures, how to hold a family meeting so that quieter members are heard, how to write down what was agreed, and how to close a conversation that is going nowhere. Groups are kept to six households.
- Listening structures for difficult conversations
- Running a family meeting where all voices are heard
- Recording what was agreed in plain language
- Closing a conversation that has stalled
- Listening structure card set to keep and use at home
Format
Four weekday evenings · Groups of up to six households · Our Jalan Ampang premises
RM 540 per household
Ask About WorkshopsHow the workshop runs
Introduction evening
Participants meet the group. The boundaries panel is explained. Listening structures are introduced with a short practice exercise.
Meeting structure
How to set an agenda. How to allocate speaking time. How to ensure quieter household members are heard.
Recording agreements
Writing down what was said and what was agreed. Templates and practice. What to do when agreement is partial.
Closing and cards
How to end a conversation that is not reaching agreement. Participants receive listening structure card sets to take home.
Session Two
Household Document Organisation
What this is not: We do not read documents for legal meaning, advise on their implications, or act in any regulated capacity. Where you have a question about what a document does, we write it down for you to take to the appropriate professional.
A three-session clerical engagement building one calm, indexed folder for the paperwork a family holds — identification documents, school records, tenancy or property papers, insurance certificates, and correspondence. We list what exists, scan what should be duplicated, name the issuing body for each item, and produce a printed contents page a partner or adult child could follow without help.
- Complete inventory of all household documents
- Scanning and digital duplication of key items
- Issuing body noted for each document
- Printed contents page in plain language
- Renewal process noted in one sentence per item
Format
Three sessions · Typically at the family's home · Spread over two to three weeks
RM 1,240 per household

How document organisation runs
Inventory session
We list every document the household holds, note its issuing body, and flag anything that appears to be missing or may need renewal.
Scanning and indexing
Documents that should be duplicated are scanned. A physical indexed folder is prepared. The digital index is structured to match the folder.
Handover session
We walk through the completed folder with at least one household member. The printed contents page and digital copy are handed over.
Session Three
Family Meeting Facilitation Programme
What this is not: The facilitator holds no view, proposes no solution, and produces nothing binding on anyone. Where any participant raises a matter requiring regulated expertise, the meeting pauses and a referral list of qualified professionals is provided.
An extended arrangement for households navigating a long transition, spanning six facilitated meetings across three months. A neutral facilitator sets the agenda with all parties beforehand, keeps time, ensures each person speaks, writes a plain summary of what was said and what everyone agreed to try, and circulates it afterwards.
- Agenda set with all parties before each meeting
- Plain written summary circulated within two working days
- Shared scheduling calendar for all six meetings
- Closing session at the end of the programme
- Programme can be paused for up to eight weeks
Format
Six meetings across three months · One household · Our premises or agreed neutral venue
RM 4,300 per household
